CEO of APC and its subsidiary Global Pact, Dr. Amaleya Goneos-Malka holds two PhDs, one in Marketing Management from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences. A second PhD in Information Technology, from the University of Pretoria, Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment & Information Technology. She was awarded three post-doctorates in Business and Communication Management from the University of Pretoria. MBA from the University of South Africa (UNISA), and BSc in Biochemistry and Physiology from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and Royal Holloway, University of London, England.

Her track record spans 20 years hands-on industry experience working with financial institutions like Standard Bank,Liberty, Nedbank, Old Mutual, Clientèle, PostBank, JSE; as well as the world’s leading marketers and brands such as Procter & Gamble, Samsung, Kraft/Mondelez, Nestlé, Nissan, Fiat, Cipla, Pfizer and many other giants that shape the private sector, as well as government departments. Moreover, she has worked extensively with most media groups(TV, radio, mobile, online, press and out of home channels) encompassing media advertising, content development etc.

Roles include executive positions in the banking sector and media industry; appointed board member in the private health sector; nominated to sit on the ICT Research Experts Reference Group that advises the Minister of Telecommunication and Postal Services; working with the Office of the Presidency on aspects of the National Development Plan 2030; partnering with FinTech companies to transform traditional financial services into digital business platforms including software, applications, processes and business models etc. and personally presented projects and outcomes to President Cyril Ramaphosa, cabinet ministers like Naledi Pandor, Blade Nzimande, Susan Shabangu, Siyabonga Cwele, Ngoako Ramathlodi, Lindiwe Zulu, Mildred Oliphant and industry leaders.

Her work has been recognised locally and internationally, earning several prestigious marketing communication awards, like the Internationalist Awards for Innovation in Media; and was selected for presentation at 14 of the world’s leading international conferences in five continents such as: the World Marketing Congress, Atlanta USA; the Australian & New Zealand Marketing Academy Conference in Adelaide Australia; The European Conference of the Association for Consumer Research, Barcelona Spain; The Academy of Marketing Science, California USA etc.

Establish a holistic multi-jurisdiction overview of wealth portfolios for over 150,000 individuals in real-time, and identify commercialisation prospects for this aggregated financial data i.e. opportunities to scale the development for the inclusion of more clients; incorporate the application into financial planning processes to optimise client portfolios; apply to self-service robo-advisory services; integrate wealth data with transactional data to develop personal financial management tools etc.

e-Customer Journey

Strategic adjustments to the customer journey, content and product offerings – via a single point of entry for home and car insurance resulted in trebling online performance: 330% uplift in online policy sales and 360% increase in gross written premiums within one quarter, post changes.

Service On-Demand

Uberisation of insurance. A proof of concept was implemented for geyser claims, which provided on demand services to clients by connecting stakeholders in the claims fulfilment process. Outcomes realised a 10% savings on the value of claims and improved customer delivery by 82%.

Pharmaceutical Tools

Determined reasons for variable penetration of e-detailing pharmaceutical tools in select East, West and Southern African markets and recommended solutions to improve acceptance. Formulated a listed company’s CSI strategy to align the Group with Uganda’s National Development Plan and established an integrated marketing communication plan to implement the project.

Client Experience

Conceptualised a client experience framework to leverage competitive advantage. Assessed the integrated role of leadership, strategy, marketing, clients, people, culture, processes, structure, systems and measures as levers to create a revenue generating client experience strategy.

Productivity Improvement

Improved telesales sales productivity, compliance, and policy retention by re-designing sales scripts through a customer experience lens and focus on marketable USPs. Script content was reduced by 40%, optimised call centre efficiency and improved customer satisfaction
